Welcome to Yorkship Elementary School where, "Minds and Manners Matter."

We are looking forward to an educationally stimulating and motivating 2011-2012 school year. Our teachers are enthusiastic and anticipate excellent outcomes from the students. This school year has been planned with a number of new programs, which will enhance and strengthen the academic needs of your child(ren). The curriculum has been expanded to include First in Math, Fast Math, and the 100 Book Challenge program. We will continue to strengthen and extend your child's knowledge through unified literacy, math and science programs utilizing the Harcourt series in the curricula. Our goal is to continually improve test performance and increase our scores in literacy, math and science.

Parents, your continued support is greatly appreciated. Parent involvement is at the heart of student achievement. You can help your child(ren) have a successful year by getting involved at school and home. Here are some reminders:

  • Come to school on time promptly at 8:25am.
  • Adhere to the dress code, uniforms are mandatory.
  • Dismissal is at 2:55 - Teachers are providing instruction until that time.
  • Please meet your child(ren) outside of the building at their designated line up area.

Our goal here at Yorkship School is for all students to be Positive, Punctual, and Perform at their best as they emerge into leaders who will excel in the future.

"Minds and Manners Matter Where Students Are Scholars And Star!"
